A Roll Compactor is a dry granulation machine used to convert fine powders into dense sheets or granules without using a liquid binder. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and powder processing industries to improve flowability, reduce dust formation, and enhance compressibility for further processing, such as tablet compression or capsule filling.
1. Material Feeding
The dry powder is fed into the compactor using a screw feeder or gravity feed.
2. Compaction Process
Two counter-rotating rollers apply high pressure to the powder, forming a dense ribbon or sheet.
3. Size Reduction & Granulation
The compacted sheet is passed through a granulating unit (breaker or mill) to achieve the desired granule size.
The final granules are screened to ensure uniform particle size.
Dry Granulation Technology – No liquid binders required, eliminating the need for drying.
Adjustable Roller Pressure – Allows precise control over compaction force for different materials.
Uniform Granule Size – Enhances flow properties and compressibility.
High Efficiency & Low Energy Consumption – Optimized for continuous operation.
GMP & FDA-Compliant Design – Constructed from SS304/SS316L for pharmaceutical and food applications.
Dust-Free Operation – Reduces powder wastage and contamination.
Compact & Easy to Maintain – Quick changeover of rollers and screens for minimal downtime.
