The Oscillating Granulator is a versatile size reduction and granulation machine used for converting powders into uniform granules. It is an essential part of the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and cosmetic industries to ensure consistency in granulation for tablet compression, capsule filling, and other processes.
Unlike other granulation machines, the oscillating granulator works with an oscillating rotor movement, pushing material through a mesh screen in a controlled manner, ensuring minimal heat buildup and precise granule formation.
1. Material Feeding
The raw material (powder or wet mass) is loaded into the granulator.
2. Oscillating Action
A rotating blade moves back and forth (oscillates), pushing the material against a perforated screen.
This motion breaks down agglomerates and transforms fine particles into uniform granules.
3. Granule Formation
The screen size determines the granule size.
The oscillating motion prevents excessive heat buildup, unlike high-speed impact mills.
4. Final Granule Discharge
Once processed, the granules exit the bottom of the unit and are collected for further processing.
