Multi Mill

A Multi Mill is a versatile, high-speed milling machine used for size reduction, granulation, pulverization, and homogenization of powders and granules in industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, and cosmetics. It is a self-contained unit that operates on the principle of variable force impact, cutting, and attrition for precise particle size reduction.

Working Principle of a Multi Mill:

A Multi Mill uses a high-speed rotor with multiple cutting edges (blades/beaters), which rotates inside a perforated stainless steel screen. The material to be processed is fed into the hopper and pushed towards the milling chamber, where:

1.  Impact and Shear Forces – The blades break down large particles.

2.  Attrition and Cutting Action – The material is further reduced in size as it passes through the perforated screen.

3. Uniform Particle Size Distribution – The final output depends on the screen size used and rotor speed.

This controlled process ensures efficient granulation, blending, and uniform particle size distribution with minimal heat generation.
