A Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) is a drying equipment used to reduce the moisture content of powders and granules by using a stream of hot air. In this system, air is passed through a perforated bed of moist solid particles at a high velocity, causing the solid particles to behave like a fluid (fluidization). This leads to efficient drying with uniform heat and mass transfer.
